Department Introduction
Emergency Department (Pre-hospital First Aid) is responsible for the daily medical pre-hospital first aid, transferring service and emergency medical rescue for the children throughout the province. There are 86 medical staff including 21 physicians, 54 nurses and 11 drivers. The department takes full advantages of sufficient open beds, full-featured functions and skilled team, promoting the integration process of pre-hospital emergency and in-hospital treatment and forming a complete pre-hospital emergency chain.
Seeking cooperation with national medical institutions, the whole team promises that with the basis of honesty and mutual assistance, we will actively carry out academic exchanges and diverse forms of win-win activities; take scared responsibilites of rescuing critically ill children; popularize pre-hospital first aid knowledge and make unremitting efforts for children's health.
Center of Pre-hospital First Aid for Newborns
Center of the Pre-hospital First Aid for Newborns belongs to neonatology department and provides 24/7 service. All emergency equipments include imported Mercedes-Benz ambulances, American GE transfer incubators, German Stephanie ventilators and suction devices, Dutch Philips monitors, and New Zealand Infant resuscitator, as well as a full set of first-aid facilities such as laryngoscope, tracheal intubation and infusion pump. Specially-trained neonatologists and nurses provide invasive and non-invasive ventilator therapy, shock rescue, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, treatment of premature apnea, and transportation of very low birth weight infants.
Since opening of the center, nearly 1,000 critically ill newborns are transferred each year; rapid, high-quality care and green channel has covered 500 kilometers in Hebei Province and parts of Shandong, Shanxi, and Henan province.
Center of Pre-hospital First Aid for Children
As an independently 24/7 operated department, Center of Pre-hospital First Aid for children is responsible for the reception and transportation of critically ill children across the province. Strictly classifying types of disease, transferred children will be accepted into various wards when arriving the hospital. The medical staff are all professional skilled, who have been engaged in critical care for a long time. There are three ambulances, which are equipped with vehicle-mounted ventilator, portable monitor, negative pressure suction system, baby incubator, transfer activity stretcher and etc. First-aid drugs and medical consumables are sufficiently provided to guarantee the medical needs of critically ill children.
